Andrew's first day back to Powersports

Here we go. Andrew's first day back to Powersports. He is heading into the 3 year old room with Ms. Annette. She is new to the school but we got to meet her the previous week and are really excited. She has 8 children, five of whom are boys!!! Andrew can be a handful and he has a few small querks you have to understand to keep things sailing smoothly. After meeting Ms. Annette, I KNEW he was going to have a great year. If she can handle that many kids (and boys for that matter), surely she's experienced a boy like our Andrew.

First year with his own back pack that he picked out. Last year we did use a small backpack but it was used more as a diaper bag. He didn't have much attachment to it except that he knew his diapers and snacks were in it. It is so AWESOME that this stubborn little guy decided a few weeks before school started that he was FINALLY going to start using the potty. He has been very intent on NOT using it that I thought it would still be a little while. Anyone who knows this child knows that it if he has his mind set on something it's quite difficult to change it. The nice thing about him being "older" was that once he decided he was going to potty train that was it. He still uses a pull up at night but didn't even need it for naps (which are still 2-3hrs) almost instantly. wahoo!! Really was starting to think he WOULD be that kid that went to kinder in a diaper! Thank you buddy for not making that a reality. All joking aside, we are really proud of you buddy!!

*update: When we got to school we found out that he was actually bumped up to the 4 year old room. Still the same teacher but a lot of the kids this year in the 3 year old room are young 3s so a handful of them were moved up. The school as a whole this year seems to have "younger" (spring birthdays) kids in each group. Andrew is February so he's not that much older but he's a bigger kid and does well in class so I'm excited about this change. Now I know he will be able to go straight to the 5 year old room next year without any difficulties! yaay!

This was the 2 year old class (yes turned 3 back in feb but I decided to keep him in this class because his teacher, Miss Karen, was AWESOME!

Here comes the 2 year old room

I didn't realize when we dropped him a few minutes before that he had pockets full of coins. He's pretty much never without coins in hand and when I didn't see them, I assumed they were in car. Nope, looks like they were in his pockets.

oops...he spotted us! I was afraid he would run off to us like he did last year. Much to my surprise he gave us a sweet little nervous grin but stayed right where he was suppose to

He was doing such a great job! He knew all the words to his song and was doing all the body animations. He has come so far in the last six months!

Great job buddy!! On to the 3 year old room!

Time for the big girls!

The each had a class buddy that they recited a joke to the audience with. Liv got to ask and answer to jokes because another classmate was unable to be here today.

although quite nervous, they did a great job!

Although they didn't get to be in the same class, they had gym time and recess time with their best beds, Maegan and Sadie

Unfortunately we won't be going to the same kindergarten, but we look forward to lots of fun with these girls in the future!
